Although organizers had anticipated around 500 participants, not all registered runners ultimately started; the recent heatwave likely played a role in this. The impact of the heat was also clearly felt at the finish line. Runners arrived smiling but drenched in sweat, and spectators sought refuge in the shade. All available shade in the Reboteko square was occupied as runners began to arrive, while the area directly under the full sun remained largely empty.
In the longer 24-kilometer race, the winner was Ander Iñarra Olaziregi from Lezo, with a time of 2:04:11. The second position was secured by Hodei Lujanbio Apezetxea from Goizueta (2:05:36), and third by Josu Uribarren from Arrasate (2:12:08). In the women's category, Leire Elola Izagirre from Tolosa was the fastest, with a mark of 2:39:43. Irati Larrañaga from Usurbil finished second (2:41:19), and Ines Moreno Sanchez from Alsasua was third (2:46:19).
This year's heat has significantly affected the race times. In the men's category, the record of 2:00:19 set last year by Aritz Egea was missed by about four minutes; Ander Iñarra needed approximately four more minutes to achieve victory. A similar trend was observed in the women's race: Ainhoa Garikano recorded a time of 2:31:56 last year, and this year Leire Elola required eight minutes longer to cross the finish line.
In the 12-kilometer event, Josu Urrestarazu Garcia emerged victorious with a time of 54 minutes and 12 seconds. This win adds to his achievements, following his victory in the T2T championship just fifteen days prior. Second place went to Jokin Tolosa Zabala from Anoeta (54:51), and third to Eneko Garin Arrastoa from Villabona (56:03). In the women's race, Rebeca Mariño Torrado from Elgeta won with a time of 47:46. The podium was completed by Jule Olaizola Amilibia from Zumaia (48:17) and Maria Arrieta Lopez from Elgoibar (1:12:20).
Both routes were set within a spectacular mountain environment. The short race covered 12 kilometers, involving an ascent and descent of the Onddolar peak. The long race, spanning 24 kilometers, included routes from Onddolar to Belabieta, then to Loatzu, followed by Uzturre, passing through Loatzu again before returning to Amasa-Villabona. The long race commenced at 09:30, and the short race at 09:45.
At the conclusion of the race, a prize draw from the bib numbers, provided by sponsors, was held. The winners were: bib number 12 (Gihar Fisio), bib number 202 (Osakin), bib number 234 (Eizmendi), bib number 391 (Osakin), and bib number 512 (Gihar Fisio). The event continued in the afternoon with a concert by the band Black Smoke, organized by the Trikuharri Mountain Race organizers, held in the Reboteko square starting at 19:00.
