Through the Urban Planning Services Association, the three municipalities intend to streamline housing planning, programming, and management, as well as urban organization. To achieve this, they will jointly create an architect position, deemed essential for ensuring urban planning services in these towns.
The new position will be incorporated into the organic staffing and job lists of the town councils. Specifically, for Berastegi, it will represent 30% of the working hours, while for the other two towns, it will be 20%. Previously, urban planning-related services were outsourced, but thanks to the newly formed association, these services will now be provided directly.
The Berastegi Town Council will handle the architect's job offer on behalf of all three municipalities. The association's goal is to empower municipalities with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants in managing their services, and to this end, a monitoring committee will also be established.
