The San Inazio festivities, organized by the neighborhood association La Esperanza and the Lasarte-Oria City Council, will take place this Friday in the Basaundi neighborhood. After a two-year hiatus, the celebrations are returning with the aim of revitalizing neighborhood life and reinstating the deeply rooted festivities among its residents.
The Councilor for Festivities, Txus Alonso, has emphasized the importance of bringing back these celebrations: "We were particularly excited to be able to bring the San Inazio festivities back to Basaundi. Thanks to the collaboration with the La Esperanza neighborhood association, we have managed to revive one of the neighborhood festivals of Lasarte-Oria."
The program will run from morning until late at night and will include various events: a guided walk, txistularis (traditional Basque musicians), children's games, toka and bota (traditional Basque games), txaranga (brass band), paella, mus and chess tournaments, inflatable castles, a snack for children, a zumba session, txistorra (sausage), and concerts. Residents and neighbors will have the opportunity to enjoy a day of festive atmosphere.
The detailed program is as follows: at 09:00, a guided walk from Basaundi square; at 10:00, a txistulari parade; at 11:45, children's games; at 12:00, traditional games; at 13:00, txaranga; at 14:00, popular paella meal (15€); at 15:30, mus tournament; at 16:00, chess tournament; at 17:00, inflatable castles; at 17:30, children's snack; at 18:30, Zumba Master-Class; at 19:00, popular txistorra meal; at 20:00, Arka Rock Bertsioak concert; at 22:00, StereoRock band; and at 00:00, dancing with Ibai Berriak.
