The Town Council of Amezketa has decided that the process to segregate the Bedaio neighborhood from the municipality of Tolosa and annex it to Amezketa will proceed. This decision marks a significant step towards the neighborhood's integration.
The process is based on the historical, geographical, and social ties between Bedaio and Amezketa. Although Bedaio is currently part of the municipality of Tolosa, it maintains a close relationship with Amezketa due to both geographical proximity and everyday connections.
Both town councils, Amezketa and Tolosa, have collaborated in processing this initiative, and both institutions have expressed their unanimous support in their respective municipal bodies.
In recent months, the councils, the company Siadeco, and the residents of Bedaio have defined the roadmap for the process. Various initiatives have been organized to inform the public, including an information session held on June 23rd at the Amezketa Cultural Center, aimed at explaining the process details and clarifying doubts.
Subsequently, following the established procedure, the necessary administrative steps will be taken to complete the annexation of Bedaio to the municipality of Amezketa.
The Amezketa Town Council emphasizes that institutional cooperation and citizen participation are crucial throughout this process. The council will continue to provide updates on the progress and upcoming steps.
