Through self-management and the drive of the youth from the town of Samaniego, in Rioja Alavesa, the Aventure A Samaniego Fest has been built over recent years. The festival will reach its ninth edition on May 22nd, turning the town into a major stage for rock and punk rock, a meeting point for enjoyment.
The event will kick off at 11:30 PM, with free admission. The focus will be on the bowling alley area in Samaniego, which will also have a marquee in case the weather does not cooperate. The organizers, who will also hold a popular dinner beforehand for which there is still time to sign up, state that "everyone is welcome".
“"A few years ago, we might have waited longer to get things moving, because there was more availability in terms of bands and the hiring price was lower. But now, you have to do everything in advance, because otherwise, everything flies."
From that moment on, the musical night in the town of Rioja Alavesa will be long and fruitful. It will be the realization of work that has been underway since last October. For the festival to be economically viable, the activity at the installed bars is essential, as "what is earned is invested in the next edition".
Regarding the lineup, the first to perform will be the members of Inserso, a quartet from Rioja Alavesa that started last year and features seasoned musicians from the local scene. Under the geriatrik punk label, they will ignite the night in Samaniego. Next will be the trio Mildeo, a band formed in 2024 with members from both Samaniego and Kripán. After releasing their first album about a year ago, the group is about to release their second work, which they will surely showcase at this festival.
The final concert of this ninth edition will be by Josetxu Piperrak & The Riber Rock Band. The Navarrese musician needs no introduction. He will perform well-known songs from various stages of his career. The night will conclude with Dj Javierlo.
