The town of Maeztu is gearing up to host the eighth edition of the Mendialdea Music Festival on May 23, establishing itself as a key cultural event in the Montaña Alavesa region.

The village of Maeztu is getting ready for the eighth edition of the Mendialdea Music Festival, scheduled for May 23. This free event has become one of the most significant cultural gatherings in the Montaña Alavesa, transforming the locality into a large open-air stage that blends live music with other artistic expressions.
Driven from its inception by the local community, the festival maintains its participatory spirit and will extend its programming from morning until late into the night. The lineup for the 2026 edition will feature seven bands from various backgrounds, combining names from the national scene with local acts.
Among the prominent names are the Valencian band Deaf Devils, who will headline and present their first album. Also performing will be Anna Dukke with her latest work, and the Riojan group Psycho Rebel Front, continuing their musical journey. From Madrid, The Sweet Vandals will arrive, a band with an extensive career in soul and funk. Additionally, the Alavese group Dead Sequoia will celebrate ten years of their career on stage. The lineup is completed by Puntu Takoma, who will showcase their most recent production, and Bilba Grobill, responsible for keeping the atmosphere lively throughout the day from the DJ booth.
True to its philosophy, the festival will once again champion diversity of styles and a close-knit atmosphere. In this way, Maeztu will solidify its position as an essential meeting point for music and culture in Álava for another year.
