The Clarist nun community in Vitoria-Gasteiz has welcomed two new members, Sister Ana and Sister Anastasia, who have dedicated their lives to prayer and service, increasing the community to 20 nuns.

The Clarist nun community in Vitoria-Gasteiz has grown with the addition of two new religious sisters: Sister Ana and Sister Anastasia. Both took their permanent habits this Sunday in a heartfelt ceremony held at the central San Antonio convent in the city.
The event was presided over by the Bishop of the Alavese capital, Juan Carlos Elizalde, accompanied by the Episcopal Vicar for Contemplative Life, Manuel Gómez Tavira. Also in attendance were the Franciscan assistant, Father Ángel Pinedo, the superior of Vitoria, Mother Dolores, and the president of the Clarist federation of the Basque Country, Mother Javier.
Among the numerous attendees, there were representatives from various Clarist communities from places such as Agurain, Alegría-Dulantzi, and Tolosa, as well as members from other contemplative life orders.
Sister Ana and Sister Anastasia join this religious order after a period of discernment that lasted several years. With their decision, they affirm their commitment to a life dedicated to prayer, silence, reading, and community, always within the Franciscan charism of aid and assistance to the needy, poor, and vulnerable.
