Two 'narcolanchas' (high-speed drug trafficking boats) have been discovered in a warehouse in Galdakao as part of an anti-drug trafficking operation that led to the arrest of 11 individuals, one in Bizkaia, and the seizure of 40 kilograms of drugs and various weapons.

The Civil Guard has located two 'narcolanchas' in a warehouse in Galdakao, which were used by drug traffickers from a Galician clan. This operation has resulted in the arrest of 11 men, one of them in Bizkaia, and the confiscation of 40 kilograms of drugs, three handguns, 16 long firearms, and a luxury watch.
The operation, named Helo/Kaldas, began in May 2024 and involved collaboration from agents of the Bizkaia and Pontevedra Commands, as well as the Judicial Police, the Canine Service, the Central Narcotics Brigade, and the UDYCO of the National Police. Arrests were made in the Arousa region, Porto do Son, Pontevedra, and Bizkaia, involving individuals aged between 41 and 52.
On October 3rd of last year, a vehicle with a false bottom concealing 5 kilograms of hashish was intercepted in Ribadeo (Lugo). Subsequent investigations led to the discovery of the gang's storage point. During the operational phase, carried out last week, 12 searches were conducted in various properties. In one of them, a warehouse in Galdakao, two high-speed vessels, 10 and 14 meters long, were found, one of which was equipped with three outboard motors. It is suspected that these boats were intended for drug transportation.
In total, 20.5 kilograms of cocaine, 5.5 kilograms of heroin, 15 kilograms of hashish, 2 kilograms of cutting agent, 18 mobile phones, two precision scales, a luxury watch, two packaging machines, a frequency jammer, two tablets, and a laptop were seized. The traffickers also possessed two pistols, a revolver, 16 shotguns, and hundreds of cartridges. The detainees are accused of belonging to a criminal group, a crime against public health in the form of drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, and smuggling.
