The author of the work, illustrator Sara Prieto Pajares, has designed a fantastic creature with a bird's body and a fish tail. The composition is surrounded by colorful carnations, essential flowers in the flamenco world. A yellow carnation placed near the bird's heart serves as a direct nod to Barakaldo.
The design incorporates traditional elements such as guitars, combs, and dance shoes. The creator explained that the creative process involved drawing each element by hand before scanning and coloring them using computer software.
The artist has a consolidated career in graphic design and illustration. In Barakaldo, she is recognized for her work as the graphic image manager for the BAFFEST festival for eleven editions, in addition to her work on children's albums and muralism.
