The team, coached by Mikel Torre, defeated Granada with a final score of 92-76. The game remained even until halftime, but the home side took control in the final two quarters, significantly improving their offensive performance to outscore their opponent 55-40.
The Bizkaia team once again relied on the outstanding performance of center Urko Madariaga. Madariaga delivered a true exhibition in the final competitive match, finishing with 22 points and 14 rebounds for a total valuation of 36 credits. His performance has been magnificent throughout the season, culminating in a fifth-place finish in the competition's valuation ranking.
Kepa de Castro, who shone with six steals and five assists, along with Aner Sardui (two of five in three-pointers) and Aleksandar Zecevic, all contributing 12 points, were Madariaga's main collaborators. They overcame the resistance of a Granada team that relied on the interior play and dominance in the paint of Gaye Khalifa, who scored 27 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
With this final victory, the Bizkaia team concludes its participation in the U22 category competition in fourth place in Group B, with a record of six wins and six losses. Mikel Torre's team finished just one victory behind Bàsquet Girona, who placed second, while Valencia Basket ended as the clear leader.
Furthermore, this match marked the last game in the Bilbao Basket youth academy for Kepa de Castro, Javier Rodríguez, and Aiert Velasco, as all three completed their U22 cycle. The trio received a great ovation from the public gathered in Artxanda and a guard of honor from their teammates.
