The town of Santurtzi became the center of the 33rd Euskal Eskola Publikoaren Jaia today. Throughout the day, thousands of people participated in cultural activities, workshops, and family events held across four main locations: Las Viñas Eskola, Gernika parkea, Parke Nagusia, and Portua.
Institutional representatives emphasized that public schools are a fundamental pillar for the collective construction of society. Under the motto EHUNETAN, the event highlighted the network formed by families, teachers, and students, whose diversity is one of the greatest strengths of the Basque educational system.
“"Education does not only prepare for the present. It also paves the way for the future. And countries are not defined only by the infrastructure they build, but also by the generations they are capable of shaping."
The Basque Government continues its commitment to strengthening public schools through staff stabilization and the Hezkuntza Eraiki 2030 plan, which will mobilize significant investments in infrastructure. Additionally, the EUSLE program has been reinforced to ensure linguistic inclusion and equal opportunities within an increasingly diverse educational system.
