The supergroup Rock con Ñ, comprising members from iconic bands such as Asfalto, Burning, and Sangre Azul, is set to revive the anthems of 80s Spanish rock in upcoming concerts in Bilbao and Vitoria.

The band Rock con Ñ, featuring musicians from Asfalto, Burning, Sangre Azul, and Topo, is preparing to pay tribute to the greatest hits of Spanish rock and hard rock from the 1980s. Their performances are scheduled for April 25 at Sala Azkena in Bilbao and April 27 at Sala Jimmy Jazz in Vitoria, as part of the Fiesta Pirata event.
The band's vocalist, Johan Cheka, emphasizes that the group's name itself is a declaration of intent and a homage to the most emblematic songs of these bands. He explains that, although foreign music has traditionally been more valued, this perception is changing, a shift they observe in the enthusiastic reception at their concerts.

"Here it always seems that what comes from abroad is fantastic and what is done here is harder to recognize, but I believe that idea has been gradually lost. We notice it a lot at concerts."

The band represents a golden era of music, from the late 70s through the entire 80s, with songs that have been the soundtrack for several generations. Tracks from legendary groups like Burning, Asfalto, Topo, and Sangre Azul are true anthems that the audience celebrates at every show.
Despite the immense musical legacy they manage, selecting the repertoire is a constant debate. The band focuses on the greatest hits to satisfy their audience. The vocalist adds that “from the first to the last song, people don't stop singing”.

"People cry, it's something you have to experience. We played 'Más que una intención' and a guy in the front row was shedding tears..."

They know that if they don't play classics like “Días de escuela”, “Mueve tus caderas”, “Sábado a la noche”, or “Rocinante”, their followers “leave a bit disappointed”. And that, for Rock con Ñ, is the last thing they want.
