Students in Portugalete and local merchants have completed the Gandik project, a collaborative initiative designed to modernize the digital presence of local businesses through the development of new websites.

The initiative involved students from ESO, high school, and Vocational Training, who worked alongside local shop owners to design and build their digital platforms.
Technical support was provided by the PuntuEUS Foundation, which supplied free servers, one year of free domain registration, and expert advice to ensure the successful implementation of digital solutions.

"The Gandik project has combined the technological talent of Portugalete's students with the experience and closeness of its merchants. The result is a real boost to local digitalization."

This pilot project aims not only to consolidate small businesses in the digital environment but also to foster intergenerational collaboration. It allows young people to gain insight into the daily challenges and reality of local commerce in their city.
