Next Monday, the La Canilla promenade in Portugalete will transform into a hub for children's solidarity. From 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 450 Primary students from the Santa María school, along with their 40 educators, will take part in a charity race, with all proceeds going entirely to the international projects of the NGO Save the Children.
The Santa María school has announced that the event is open to the general public. Anyone wishing to contribute can run or walk alongside the schoolchildren, aiming to make the day a grand solidarity celebration in the town.
The Portugalete City Council has also joined this initiative, providing the necessary refreshments for participant hydration. Several council members and the mayor, Marijose Blanco, are expected to attend, demonstrating strong institutional support for this charitable cause.
