Muskiz's Meatzari Square will feature a covered area in the medium term, allowing this central town space to host various activities regardless of weather conditions.

The Muskiz City Council aims for the design of this covered space to achieve the broadest possible consensus among citizens, and to this end, has opened a participatory process. From this Friday until May 31, the opinions of Muskiz residents will be collected.

"From the Culture and Sports Department, we are working on a project for the installation of a roof in Meatzari Square. For this, we have launched a participatory process with two phases; the first consisted of consulting the associations and groups of the municipality who have indicated the existing needs. Now, we will consult the citizenry."

Muskiz residents will be able to choose between three different designs for the definitive future roof of Meatzari Square. All three proposals meet the requirements requested by the municipality's associations and groups. These needs include covering an area of at least 500 square meters, having a stage, providing lighting, public address, and electricity points, and ensuring the roof allows natural light to enter.
With these elements, the three proposals have been developed and are now on display in the main hall of Meatzari Aretoa. The City Council has prepared a six-question survey for citizens to express their preferences and choose their favorite design. Completed surveys can be deposited in the mailboxes that will be placed from this Friday in the Gaztegune and the town's kultur etxea.
