Mariezkurrena II Returns to Action at Bilbao's Club Deportivo

The pelota player, sidelined since March 28 due to injury, will play this Sunday with Zubizarreta against Salaberria-Martija.

Pelota player Mariezkurrena II, a prominent backcourt hitter, is scheduled to make his return to the courts this Sunday at Bilbao's Club Deportivo at 5:15 PM, following an injury layoff since March 28.

The powerful defender has been out of competition since March 28 due to physical discomfort in his left adductor, which he experienced during the warm-up of a match preceding the Manomanista Serie A Championship for the Baiko Pilota company.
Mariezkurrena II will team up with Zubizarreta to face Salaberria-Martija. Originally, José Javier Zabaleta was slated to play, but he will be unable to participate due to hand issues. Zabaleta has not played since March 15, when his involvement in the Couples Championship concluded.
This match will serve as the curtain-raiser for the encounter between Iker Larrazabal and Javier Zabala, corresponding to the second day of the quarter-final league stage of the First Division Manomanista. Larrazabal, who won his first league match against Iñaki Artola, trained this Tuesday at the Alameda Rekalde court with Erik Jaka to prepare for his upcoming clash. Zabala, who also won against Jon Ander Peña at the start of the phase, trained on Wednesday with the same objective. The winner of this match will be halfway to securing a spot in the Manomanista semifinals.
