The Bilbao City Council has finalized the resurfacing works on Lezeaga Street in the Basurto neighborhood. This project aims to improve the road surface and optimize safety and traffic conditions for both vehicles and pedestrians.
The intervention focused on two sections of the street, located in the upper part of the neighborhood, and has led to a complete renewal of the pavement, which showed significant wear from use and time.
For these works, carried out over the past few weeks, the Bilbao council has allocated 268,356 euros.
Specifically, the actions included milling the existing pavement and laying a new asphalt layer. Additionally, manholes were raised and leveled, curbs were installed, and horizontal signage was renewed within the intervention area.
The works also involved cleaning and finishing touches to ensure the proper completion of the project and the overall improvement of the urban environment. During the construction period, traffic was managed with alternating circulation, minimizing disruptions for residents and road users.
