Officers have decided to apply current regulations strictly and exhaustively due to the lack of solutions from the municipal government. This measure has led to a sharp rise in fines, primarily targeting traffic violations, the use of scooters and bicycles on sidewalks, and pet waste management.
The police force reports organizational deficiencies and discrepancies regarding C1 group pay levels, which they claim do not comply with legal requirements. They are also demanding a review of compensation for holiday and night shifts.
“"The increase in fines is over 300%. We used to be more understanding in certain situations, but now we are applying all regulations to the letter."
Meanwhile, the government team has downplayed the protest and scheduled a negotiation table for next Monday. Municipal authorities have stated they will continue to engage in dialogue with rigor and good faith to resolve the ongoing dispute.
