Building on last year's success, Getxo will hold the second edition of its Senior Sports Meet +60 on June 19 at Fadura, targeting residents over 60.

Following the success of its inaugural event, which gathered over 180 participants, Getxo Kirolak (Getxo Sports) has launched the second edition of the Senior Sports Meet +60. This sports gathering, aimed at all individuals over 60 years old, is scheduled for June 19 at the Fadura facilities. The initiative seeks to raise awareness and encourage enjoyment of physical activity, recognizing it as a vital tool for care, physical and mental health, and socialization.
The day will commence at 10:00 AM with a welcome presentation at the TikiToki Zentroa. Those wishing to arrive as a group can join organized walks departing at 9:00 AM from the Gobela sports center or from the Algorta Station square.
Upon arrival at Fadura, participants will have the opportunity to engage in sessions of gymnastics, pilates, stretching, yoga, strength training, aquagym, table tennis, indoor cycling, petanque, and paddle tennis. Each participant can register for two different activities.
The second sports meet will conclude with a celebration starting from 1:00 PM at the TikiToki Zentroa. All activities are free of charge.
