The Getxo City Council, maintaining its commitment to supporting the local commercial and hospitality sector, has initiated a new call for subsidies. This initiative has an allocation of 170,000 euros and is aimed at associations of merchants and hospitality-restaurant businesses, with the goal of promoting economic revitalization in the municipality.
The application period will remain open until May 17, and all procedures must be carried out electronically through the municipal e-headquarters. This program, driven by the Economic Promotion-Getxolan area, aims to strengthen the essential role of these associations as key agents in the economic and social dynamism of the town.
“"The objective is to promote the activity of associations, local commerce, and hospitality, reinforcing their role as key agents in the economic and social revitalization of Getxo."
The grants are structured into two lines of subsidy. Line 1, with 120,000 euros, is intended to finance economic revitalization activities developed by merchant and hospitality-restaurant associations in Getxo, as well as by federations and entities in Bizkaia that group these organizations. Its purpose is to support the execution of annual action plans, which include promotional campaigns, events, and actions to boost local consumption.
On the other hand, Line 2, endowed with 50,000 euros, focuses on the maintenance and promotion of associativism. Its purpose is to ensure the continuity of existing associations and promote an increase in the number of affiliated businesses and shops, thereby strengthening the organizational structure of the sector. Merchant and hospitality-restaurant associations in Getxo, as well as federations and entities with territorial scope in Bizkaia that integrate these local organizations, will be eligible for these grants.
