The Etxebarri City Council has formalized its membership in Jakindari, an alliance dedicated to scientific culture. This initiative is part of the Project for the Social Dissemination of Knowledge, driven by the Department of Science, Universities, and Innovation of the Basque Government.
Through this incorporation, Etxebarri becomes part of a network that already unites over 70 entities from across the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, including universities, research centers, museums, foundations, and science communication companies. The network aims to consolidate the efforts made by these organizations to bring scientific knowledge to all corners of the territory, promoting joint activities, the exchange of best practices, and the use of Basque in science communication. Among Jakindari's key tools is ZientziaKlik, a digital portal that aggregates all scientific culture activities offered in Euskadi.
Etxebarri City Council's accession to Jakindari reinforces its commitment to innovation and scientific dissemination, a focus the council has maintained for over a decade. This is evidenced by the municipality's recognition since 2011 as a City of Science and Innovation and its membership in the Red Innpulso network.
