A 25-year-old man of North African origin was arrested this Sunday in Bilbao for assaulting another young man with a knife. The incident occurred on Cristo street, in the Uribarri neighborhood, around 1:20 PM. Both the assailant and the victim, who are of the same origin, required medical attention.

The victim was taken to Cruces Hospital for treatment of his injuries. The Ertzaintza (Basque police) has launched an investigation into the circumstances of the event and does not rule out the possibility of other individuals being involved.
