Bilbao Book Fair Opens in El Arenal with 56 Stalls

The event runs from May 28 to June 7, gathering various authors and cultural figures.

Bilbao's El Arenal park will host 56 stalls starting this Thursday afternoon, May 28, through June 7, for the 56th Book Fair.

The event will feature prominent figures such as Kutxabank's Head of Sustainability, Fernando López de Eguilaz; the prolific Gipuzkoan author Harkaitz Cano; the renowned Portuguese writer Lídia Jorge; and Bilbao City Council's Culture Councillor, Gonzalo Olabarria.
Also in attendance were the Director of Social Work at BBK, Nora Sarasola; the President of the Book Chamber, José Agustín Iturri; and the Coordinator of Book Fairs of the Basque Country, Asier Muniategi.
The fair will also include novelists such as Juan Mari Barasorda, Luisa Etxenike, and Javier Sagastiberri.
Additionally, Ana Viñals, Iker Casanova, María del Río, and Iñaki López Agileta will be present.
Writer Xandra Bilbao and her colleague Juan Infante, alongside bookseller Beatriz Franco, are part of the event.
