A well-known restaurant in Bilbao, which closed almost two years ago, is reopening its doors this Thursday, bringing back its traditional daily menu. The establishment, retaining its original name, is located at Alameda Urquijo 50 and was a prominent fixture among Bilbao's traditional restaurants, known for its homemade and traditional cuisine.
The new owners of the business are three young siblings of Dominican origin, who have arrived in Bilbao at different times and have gained extensive experience in the city's hospitality sector. This family is well-acquainted with Bilbao's day and night life, having worked in various establishments such as 11 Aldeanos, Mettxa, and the SíoSí coffee bar.
The new proprietors aim to revitalize an area of the city that has experienced a significant decline in its hospitality offerings in recent years. The venue, once highly reputable, faced difficulties in its final years, including a high rental cost. Now, with a proposal that blends tradition and passion, they aspire to regain past success.
The restaurant's gastronomic offer will combine traditional Basque cuisine with touches from the owners' country of origin. This way, customers will be able to enjoy dishes made with fresh, quality products, available both as a daily menu and à la carte.
