From next Monday, May 11, Bilbao Airport will expand its direct flight options to Italy. Wizz Air is set to connect La Paloma with Milan, marking the third destination the Hungarian airline will have inaugurated within a six-month period.
This new connection will complement existing routes, including flights to Krakow (operational since December 9) and London Luton (since March 29). These developments underscore Wizz Air's clear and ambitious commitment to the Bizkaia region.
In the near future, Wizz Air's offerings from Bilbao will further expand to include Venice (with the first flight scheduled for July 1) and Turin (set to arrive ten days before the end of summer, with its inaugural journey on September 14).
According to the company, the Milan flight will operate four times a week: on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The Hungarian airline has announced the launch of new European destinations, many featuring multiple weekly frequencies and open bookings until 2027. This strategic move reflects Wizz Air's interest in solidifying Bilbao as a key hub.
