The team will compete in their next challenge, the Piru Gainza tournament, which will take place on May 30 and 31 at the Soloarte field. Other teams from the region, such as Ugao, will also participate.

"I know that for many of you this will be a special championship because of Miren"

Asier Iragorri · Mayor
The mayor referred to Miren Hernández, one of the pioneers of women's football in the town and former president of Basauritar, who passed away last February. "Wearing the Basauri jersey must be a source of pride," he emphasized. For his part, Zugazagoitia described as a "success" the achievement of continuing this project, which is now four years old.
Of the twenty footballers, seventeen play for clubs in the municipality: six at Indartsu and eleven at Basauriko Kimuak. The remaining three play for Arratia, Eibar, and Bilbao Artizarra.
