Enrollment for the Arrigorriaga Municipal Euskaltegi and the Berbalagun program is now open until September 22nd. This year, to celebrate the euskaltegi's 40th anniversary, special discounts will be offered to the first registrants: those who enroll by September 10th will receive a 50 euro discount.
The euskaltegi offers courses at various levels annually, including A1, A2, B1, B2, and C1. Courses are organized with a frequency of two, three, or four days per week. Additionally, there will be special groups for retirees and young people, and courses will be free for the unemployed. Representatives have also mentioned the possibility of obtaining grants.
The Berbalagun program will also be offered this year, aiming to foster the habit of speaking Basque or improve proficiency. The program is free and brings together people with similar interests, such as going for walks or having a coffee, with the help of a facilitator. The deadline to register for this program is September 24th.

Furthermore, at the Arrigorriaga municipal sports center, today, September 1st, the Body Cycle, adult gymnastics, zumba fit, pilates, and calorie-burning courses will begin. Other courses, such as Aqua Gym, GAP, and Yoga, will start in October. Registration for non-members will be open until September 10th, and on September 21st if there are any remaining spots.

Additionally, the Arrigokorrika running group will commence its training sessions for the new academic year on September 15th. Finally, firefighters extinguished a fire in some bushes in the Lonbo neighborhood of Arrigorriaga this afternoon. Two vehicles from the Basauri fire station responded to the scene and quickly put out the fire, with the assistance of local police.
The eighth edition of the Arrigorriagako Ausartak Mendi Lasterketa (Arrigorriaga Mountain Race) will take place on January 16, 2026. The previous edition saw 824 runners participate, 100 more than in 2025. The race features various categories and takes place in the mountains.
Meanwhile, the fifth edition of the 'Feria de Mujeres Creadoras' (Fair of Women Creators) in Arrigorriaga is scheduled for October 3rd in Teodosia Ortega Park. The registration period will be open from September 1st to 13th, either in person or through the electronic headquarters.
