A Surne Bilbao Basket Player Achieves Historic Milestone for the Club

The Swedish point guard has entered the top five players with the highest valuation in the club's history, following his performance in the game against Hiopos Lleida.

A Surne Bilbao Basket player has achieved a historic milestone by ranking among the top five most valued players in the club's history, despite the team's recent loss to Hiopos Lleida.

The outstanding performance of the Swedish point guard for Surne Bilbao Basket is not new, but a recent achievement has cemented his place in the club's history. In Sunday's defeat against Hiopos Lleida (90-81), which thwarted the team's attempt to secure eighth place in the Liga Endesa standings, the player once again stood out, finishing as the top scorer with 18 points and the most valued player with 23 credits.
This statistical achievement has propelled the player into the top 5 of the club's all-time valuation. Previously ranked sixth, the 23 credits earned at Barris Nord allowed him to surpass Fred Weis and claim the fifth position with 1,347 credits. Ahead of him are club legends such as Álex Mumbrú (3,895), Marko Banic (2,773), Axel Hervelle (2,348), and Javi Salgado (2,183), who currently serves as an assistant coach for the team.
The player's progression over his three seasons with Surne Bilbao Basket, since being signed from Valladolid in Primera FEB, has been magnificent. While he is set to join Unicaja next summer, this season he has emerged as a candidate for the Liga Endesa MVP and has been named to the best five of the FIBA Europe Cup, a continental competition where he was the best player in the final last season.
Furthermore, the Swedish point guard also ranks as the fifth-best assist provider in Surne Bilbao's history, with a total of 332 assists, trailing only Salgado, Mumbrú, Hervelle, and Raúl López. He also stands out in terms of fouls received and is eighth in steals.
