The III Short Film Contest organized by Bilbao Zerbitzuak has explored perspectives on Bilbao's Municipal Cemetery, with "Distópicos anónimos" taking home the top prize.

The work "Distópicos anónimos" by the Encuentro group has won the first prize in the III Short Film Contest organized by Bilbao Zerbitzuak, further establishing Bilbao's Municipal Cemetery as a source of inspiration for audiovisual creation.
Álvaro Pérez, Bilbao City Council's delegate for Health and Consumption, stated, "Each edition surprises us with new ways of interpreting this place. The presented short films demonstrate that the cemetery is also a space for culture, memory, and creativity capable of inspiring very different narratives".
This year, a total of 13 teams transformed the cemetery in Bilbao into a unique filming location over two days, capturing images that reflect the site's heritage, architectural, and human richness. The jury particularly valued this ability to uncover new readings of the space.
The second prize was awarded to Expressak for their work "Hemen zaude". Meanwhile, "Salir del nicho" by Los Blue received the Audience Award, garnering the most votes with a total of 27 votes. Additionally, the award for Best Young Direction went to "Te acompaño" by the Orilai group.
The awarded short films have now become part of the Bilbao Zerbitzuak art collection and are available for viewing at bilbaozerbitzuak.bilbao.eus.
