This Saturday, the International Day of Cultural Diversity will be celebrated in Zumárraga, organized in collaboration by the Department of Culture and Cooperation of the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the local council, with activities at the Zelai Arizti hall and the fronton.
The day will begin at 10:45 AM in the Zelai Arizti theatre with an institutional presentation. Following this, the inclusive dance group Verdini will perform 'El destello de Verdini', a piece created and interpreted by individuals with functional diversity, aiming to transform the stage into a space for acknowledging and celebrating differences.
Next, the audiovisual project Zinekin will be presented. From 1:00 PM onwards, events will move outdoors with performances by the folk dance group from Honduras and the association Booloo Senegal. Both groups have participated in the 'Ahotsak. Sustrai konektatuak' project, promoted by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa.

"Zumárraga once again shows itself to be a vibrant, open town with cultural ambition. This event will bring a first-class program to our town, with artistic, audiovisual, and community proposals, making Zumárraga a meeting point for Gipuzkoa's cultural diversity."
The day will conclude at 2:00 PM with a solidarity rice dish for all citizens. During the presentation, provincial deputy Goizane Alvarez and Mayor Mikel Serrano emphasized the importance of continuing to promote open, inclusive, and participatory meeting points. The mayor highlighted that the initiative responds to a commitment made to the youth, whose Assembly had conveyed the significance of promoting a multicultural day to the municipal government.
