Urretxu-Zumarraga Bertsolari Team Advances to Gipuzkoa Inter-Town Semifinals

The Urretxu-Zumarraga 1 bertsolari team has secured its place in the semifinals of the Gipuzkoa Inter-Town Bertsolari Championship, after emerging victorious in the elimination round held at Zaldibia's Herri Antzokia.

The team competed against the Boskatu team from Alegia, scoring 16 points compared to their opponents' 14. This win allows the Urretxu-Zumarraga 1 team to continue its progression in the championship.
The team comprises bertsolaris Manex Mantxola, Mikel Iturriotz, and Antton Fernandez, along with topic setter Leire Akizu and judge Jon Mendizabal. They had previously won the Goierri elimination round in Lazkao's Biziola, which qualified them for the inter-regional quarterfinals.
The next stage, the semifinal, will take place in Tolosa on May 16. There, they will face the winner of the elimination round between the Hernani and Txingudi-A teams. The championship final is scheduled for May 30 in Aia.
