Presentation of the unified image of the public school in Urretxu and Zumarraga.

The three centers of the Urretxu and Zumarraga public school, the nursery school, Gainzuri primary school, and Joxe Mari Iparragirre high school, today unveiled a unified image at the Zumarraga market, aiming to strengthen the entire educational pathway.

The new image was designed by Oier Fernandez and Eider Gorrotxategi, depicting the three buildings interconnected, symbolizing the unity and collaboration among the centers. The presentation event was attended by the director of Gainzuri, a teacher from the nursery school, and the high school director.

"In this process, we are strengthening collaboration between educational centers of the same line, and the image we present today is the graphic expression of that path. We work with a clear objective: to strengthen and enrich the Basque public school in our towns."

According to the representatives, the new image is the result of a process initiated in recent years, whose purpose is to consolidate the educational journey from 0 to 18 years in its entirety. This aims to offer an integrated educational path, prioritizing the child's full development, continuity, and an equitable and quality public education.
The unification of the nursery school, primary school, and high school brings numerous benefits, such as building strong links stage by stage and allowing students to grow and be educated along the same path, maintaining the same reference point for families and the community. This reinforces an educational model centered on the student, constantly caring for their emotional well-being, personal development, and social integration.
Thanks to the close coordination between teams and professionals, transitions, from nursery school to primary school and from primary school to high school, can be carried out more smoothly and carefully. Furthermore, they stated that strong public school networks strengthen social cohesion, interculturality, and active citizenship, based on democratic values.
The goal is to prepare students for life, training them in various competencies to function in society and progressively building their personal autonomy. This integrated project of the Urretxu-Zumarraga public school focuses on student well-being, inclusion, and development.

"This unified home that we present today, as before, we will continue to build with the Basque language and Basque culture as its axes. Thank you very much and welcome to our home, everyone's home."
