Municipal workers from the town councils of Zumarraga and Urretxu carried out a two-hour strike and held concentrations this Thursday, joining the mobilizations called by ELA and LAB unions to demand better working conditions.

The stoppages and gatherings took place in front of both town halls, on the eve of the Udalhitz negotiation table meeting, which was convened by Eudel. Employees are urging Eudel, PNV, EH Bildu, and PSE-EE to address their demands.
These demands include measures related to occupational health, the recovery of purchasing power lost in recent years, a halt to new privatizations, and initiatives for workforce rejuvenation, among others.
