This ninth edition of the race will take place on Sunday morning, maintaining the schedule change introduced last year. Organizers have positively evaluated this modification and decided to continue with the same format for this year.
Participants can choose between two distances: the Trail or long race, covering 25 kilometers, and the Sprint or short race, spanning 14.5 kilometers. The long race will start at 09:30 AM, with the short race runners departing half an hour later. The route will be identical to last year's.
Registration is open until Monday and can be completed through the kronoak.com website. Organizers anticipate approximately 300 runners across both races, a slight decrease from last year, which they attribute to the May Day long weekend.
Bib collection will be available on Saturday afternoon (from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM) and Sunday morning (from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM). Organizers encourage runners from Segura and surrounding towns to collect their bibs on Saturday to streamline the event logistics. A gift bag for runners has also been prepared.
This year, the largest group from Segura, Zerain, and Mutiloa will again receive a prize: a dinner with the organization. Additionally, the youth prize, introduced last year, will continue for participants aged 15 to 17, allowing them to complete the short race with adult permission. A total of 31 prizes, produced under the Made in Segura label, will be awarded.
The Segura-Zerain Mountain Race will be a scoring event for the Goierri Cup. Organizers have confirmed that the four leaders from the Leharrei Mountain Race in Gabiria will be present in Segura. For each registration, 1 euro will be donated to the Gipuzkoa Association Against Cancer.
