Municipal workers in Zumarraga have inspected the trees surrounding the La Antigua hermitage after a branch fell during maintenance work, causing minor damage to event infrastructure.

With the Santa Isabel celebration approaching in two weeks, the municipal brigade of Zumarraga is preparing the grounds of the La Antigua hermitage. On Wednesday, while working on the area designated for the community meal, a branch was cut near the metal structure used for the canopy.
The falling branch damaged the metal frame and a table. Fortunately, there were no significant personal injuries, with only minor scratches reported.
Following concerns raised by local residents regarding the condition of the trees near the dining area, the City Council has provided a reassuring statement.

"The gardening company staff arrived immediately at La Antigua. In addition to clearing the fallen tree, they inspected the remaining trees and confirmed they are in good health, posing no risk."
