Mikel Perez will not be part of the first team at Ampo Ordizia next season. The Goierri-based club has confirmed the exit of the player, who hails from Hernani. Perez joined from Hernani towards the end of the 2021-22 season and has been a significant presence in the second and third lines, excelling in touches and forward leadership. Last season, he was limited to six league appearances, four as a starter, due to a chest injury.
The club bid farewell to the player on social media, expressing gratitude for his work and commitment: "You arrived years ago from Hernani and, with your work and commitment, you became much more than a player: an exemplary teammate and a fundamental piece for this team on and off the field. Today you say goodbye, but you take with you a small family and many friends who will always be grateful. We are sure you will do well in life. This will always be your home. Thank you, Mikel!"
In addition to Perez, the club has also announced the departures of Antxon Iriondo, Matías Jabase, Lenny Valleyé, Brian González, Sam Coles, and Víctor Gavin. Furthermore, coach Suso Romero will not continue with Ordizia, having accepted an offer to coach the Cocodrilas of Seville.
