Lizarrusti Hostel Reopens After Two-Year Closure

The Gipuzkoa Provincial Council has completed renovation works at the facilities, addressing humidity and insulation issues.

The Lizarrusti hostel is set to reopen this Thursday, April 30, after being closed for two years, following renovation work undertaken by the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council.

Following a two-year closure, the Lizarrusti hostel will once again welcome visitors starting this Thursday, April 30. During this period, the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council carried out several improvements to the building in Ataun, resolving issues with humidity and insulation, and upgrading the energy supply.
An inauguration event will take place on Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, after which the new tenants will begin providing services from 2:00 PM onwards.
The hostel will operate with a specific schedule throughout the year. In May, it will be open from Monday to Sunday from 09:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with dinners served from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. In June, hours will be from 09:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with dinners from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM. During July and August, it will be open mornings from 09:30 AM to 4:00 PM and afternoons from 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. In September, Monday to Sunday from 09:30 AM to 4:00 PM. In October, Tuesday to Sunday from 09:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Finally, in November, Wednesday to Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, remaining closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The hostel will be closed for holidays from December 15 to January 15.
Separately, the Lizarrusti Parketxe reopened its doors last February with a renovated exhibition showcasing the beauty and richness of its cultural landscapes. The Parketxe had also been closed for a year due to rehabilitation work.
