Legazpi Unveils Rich Cultural Program for July

The Uztakale program features dance, music, photography, theater, and cinema events.

The Legazpi City Council has organized a special cultural program for July, under the Uztakale initiative, running from the 3rd to the 23rd in various locations.

The month kicks off with the performance 'Kale hizketak' by the dance group Kukai, in Euskal Herria square, on Wednesday at 7:00 PM. On Friday, Isuok eta Bargik will perform a concert in Brinkola's Ergoena park, promoted by the neighborhood association. Later that night, at 10:30 PM, the Ikatza photographers' association will present a nature photography audiovisual in the Azoka area.
The following week will feature a packed schedule. On Monday, there will be children's games and workshops (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) followed by a foam party (7:00 PM) in the square. On Tuesday, the movie 'Wonka' will be screened in the square at 7:30 PM. On Wednesday, Bea Larrañaga will perform the street theater piece 'Hausturak' in Laubide street (if it rains, at the azoka). On Thursday, a 'bertso poteo' (poetry and drinks gathering) will take place with bertsolaris Aitor Sarriegi, Eneko Araiztegi, and Ane Beloki in the central streets.
On July 13th, a children's water park, workshops, and a foam party will be held in the square (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM). On the 14th, the group Zirkotxosko will stage the street theater play 'Oh-pera' in the same location at 7:00 PM. On the 15th, the film 'Migrazioa: bide ahaztezina' will be screened in Laubide at 7:30 PM (if it rains, at the azoka).
On the 16th, Jokin Lasa, Kaki Arkarazo, and Pello Ramirez will present the concert 'Aberriak eta atzerriak' in Agirre Etxeberri park at 7:00 PM (in case of bad weather, at the Latxartegi hall). On the 17th, the Ikatza association will showcase an audiovisual of travel photographs at the azoka at 10:30 PM. On the 18th, Rogelio Botanz and Percuteras de Garaldea will perform a concert in the square at 12:00 PM, with the Alaitasuna rondalla honoring Botanz's father.
The final events will take place the week starting July 20th. On the 20th, a children's play area (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM) and a foam party (7:00 PM) will be held in Laubide (with bad weather, at the azoka). On the 22nd, the group Trapu Zaharra will perform 'Azkena eta bagoaz' in Laubide at 7:00 PM (with bad weather, at the azoka). To conclude, on the 23rd, the band Txaston Dixie Banda will play in the central streets at 7:00 PM (with bad weather, at the azoka).
