It will be an event to showcase the results of the work carried out by students from Legazpi, participants in the Eskolako Agenda 2030 program in the Goierri region, concerning climate change and its consequences. The fair will be located on Plazaola street, behind the church, between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM. Students will set up stands, dedicating a special area to climate shelters, which has been the main topic of their work in Eskolako Agenda 2030 in recent months.
To raise awareness about the need for climate shelters, figures called “Itzalkideak” (Shadow Companions) will be present to invite citizens to approach the fair and receive information. The fair will feature an exhibition titled “Climate Change and Adaptation”, created by the students, to present measures and adaptation strategies in the face of the climate emergency. Prizes will also be awarded to those who answer a short questionnaire.
Furthermore, next Tuesday, the 9th, the Legazpi Klima 2030 Forum will convene at 6:00 PM in the Social Center. Here, students will discuss the topic of climate shelters being addressed in the Eskola Agenda 2030.
This will be the second forum dedicated to this subject. Previously, potential locations for climate shelters in the town were identified, and the session on Tuesday will cover essential aspects for implementing these shelters, such as the equipment and services they should offer, communication, and network activation. All citizens are invited to participate in this meeting.
