Tomorrow, April 18, Lazkao will host the Gipuzkoa Bertso Schools Day, an event jointly organized by Bertsozale Elkartea and Gerriko Kultur Elkartea. The day will feature a rich program of activities from morning to afternoon, bringing together bertso enthusiasts and the general public.
Activities will commence at 10:00 AM with the reception of students from the Bertso Schools. Following this, at 10:30 AM, the final of the 'Gelatik Plazara' bertso championship will be held at the Ikastola. A highlight of the day will be the Lazkao Txiki Gogoan event at 12:30 PM, where two animated bertsos by the bertsolari will be sung with the attendees.
Lunch will take place at the Lazkao fronton at 1:45 PM, with organizers advising participants to bring their own meals. After lunch, at 3:00 PM, there will be games for children, and to conclude the day, at 4:30 PM, a farewell will be given to the younger participants.
The aim of the Gelatik Plazara project is for students to have a space to enjoy bertso and to offer them the opportunity to practice in public.
The 'Gelatik Plazara' project is aimed at Bertso Schools students under 14 years old and is organized by Bertsozale Elkartea. In this fourth edition, 250 young bertsolaris have participated, starting on March 5 and completing seven additional sessions. The Lazkao event will be the final one of this year's edition. Participants are divided into two levels (Primary Education and Compulsory Secondary Education), organized into groups of 2 to 4 people.
