The PP party in Erandio has denounced a "lack of planning and urban control" in the municipality, which has become evident in the case related to the hospitality activity and urban planning agreement at number 45 on the Altzaga-Erandiogoikoa road. According to the PP, the issue was discussed in the municipal committee on May 21st, and the governing team intends to bring it to the June plenary session, despite it being "particularly controversial" and having a long urban and judicial history.
The party has indicated that this activity has been accumulating administrative conflicts, alleged irregular expansions, and lawsuits for years, due to the absence of a modern urban planning framework to properly regulate and control municipal activities. Furthermore, the PP has recalled that Erandio still operates under "obsolete and completely outdated" subsidiary rules that are inadequate for meeting the municipality's current needs.
Consequently, the PP has criticized the governing team's stance, noting that they have been announcing progress and promises for years without them materializing. "It is the residents of Erandio and the businesses who are paying the consequences of this urban planning blockage and lack of direction," the party stated.
The party believes the City Council acts "late and reactively," limiting itself to resolving conflicts "through specific agreements" rather than planning for the future. Therefore, it has urged the municipal government to present the definitive PGOU, considering it a "fundamental tool" to ensure the municipality's orderly development, legal certainty, and future.
