The Sanjuandegi neighborhood remains immersed in a festive atmosphere today, Saturday, as it celebrates its Neighborhood Day. Numerous activities have been organized for residents since early morning. At 10:30 AM, a chess tournament was held in the shelter in front of the pool, followed by a judo demonstration starting at 11:00 AM in Jose Antonio Agirre square.

At midday, the main novelty of this year's festivities arrived: the Getaria Txakoli Day, organized for the ninth time. Although in previous years it was held in Perez Arregi square, this year the event has been integrated into the Sanjuandegi festival program. Attendees had the opportunity to taste txakolis from eight wineries with the Getaria designation of origin (Aizpurua, Akarregi Txiki, Arregi, Basa Lore, Gaintza, Gañeta, Rezabal, and Txomin Etxaniz).

To accompany the drink, pintxos of cheese from Premetxeberri baserria and bites of solomillo from Eusko Label were also available. The group Gaixoen eta Elbarrien Aisialde Taldea from Azpeitia distributed these pintxos, and during the two-hour tasting, the atmosphere was enlivened by members of the group Menditarrak from Banka.

Furthermore, at 1:00 PM, the Municipal Music Band held a concert in the tent. A large number of people gathered in the neighborhood for all the events.

The festivities will continue in the afternoon with an extensive program: at 3:00 PM the neighborhood meal followed by bingo; at 6:00 PM the III Trikifree trikiti performance; at 6:30 PM a chocolate tasting; at 7:00 PM a parade with giants and cabezudos, and the Hamarru elektrotxaranga. In the evening, at 8:00 PM there will be a barbecue, and from 10:00 PM onwards, concerts by the bands Lukiek and Ezpalak, followed by DJ Tintz in the tent and local DJs at the txosna.
