Bus Service and Traffic Changes in Zegama This Weekend

Bus services between Zegama and Zaldibia will be reinforced, and traffic restrictions will be implemented on several roads and access points.

Zegama will implement special bus services and traffic restrictions this weekend, May 16 and 17, on routes connecting the town and the mountains, due to a special event.

This weekend, May 16 and 17, those planning to visit Zegama or attend the mountain marathon should take into account important information regarding public transport and traffic. Special bus services have been organized, and several roads will be closed.
On Saturday, May 16, from 09:00 to 20:00, two buses will operate between Zegama and Segura. On Sunday, May 17, five buses will be on the same route, from 06:00 to 19:00. For those wishing to go to the mountains, buses will run continuously from 06:00, from Zegama to Apeadero and from the Suazerretako car parks to Otsaurte.
Lurraldebus's regular G001 line, connecting Zaldibia, Ordizia, Beasain, Olaberria, Idiazabal, Segura, and Zegama, will also be reinforced. On Saturday, special buses from Zaldibia to Zegama will depart at 10:00, 11:00, 15:00, 16:00, and 17:00, with several stops. Return services from Zegama will be at 20:00, 21:00, and 22:00. On Sunday, departures from Zaldibia will be at 06:30, 07:00, and 08:00, with returns at 15:55, 16:55, 18:00, and 19:00.
Regarding traffic, from May 11 to 14, access points to Partzoneriko (from Otsaurte and Urdalur) will be closed from 19:00 to 07:00. Throughout the weekend, from May 15 to 17, drivers in Zegama are asked to park their cars in garages. The road from Otsaurte to Aldaola will be closed to vehicles from 19:00 on May 15 until 06:00 on May 17. The Urdalur pass can only be used as an exit route.
On Friday, May 15, the Apeadero road will be closed from 12:00 onwards, except for authorized vehicles. On Saturday, May 16, the regular bus will turn around in front of the pharmacy all day. On Sunday, May 17, Ugarte-Zelai street will be one-way towards Otsaurte. Vehicles within Zegama town can use the road towards Otsaurte until 10:30. On Otsaurte, the road in the Otsaurte-Zegama direction will be closed from 06:00 to 14:00, and traffic will be diverted via the N-1. Motorhomes will not be able to access Partzuergo, and limited spaces will be available in the Olaberria/Ugarte-Zelai neighborhood, the Anduetza Interpretation Center, Segura, and Idiazabal.
