The Boskatu team from Alegia has said goodbye to the Gipuzkoa Inter-Town Bertsolari Championship, consequently leaving Tolosaldea without representation in this year's edition. The team from Alegia reached the quarter-final stage but was unable to advance further.

The semi-final qualifier was held last Friday in Zaldibia, where they competed against the Zumarraga-Urretxu 1 team. Approximately one hundred bertso enthusiasts filled the local theater, and the bertsolaris performing were Antton Fernandez, Manex Mantxola, and Mikel Iturriotz for the Zumarraga-Urretxu team, and Iker Iriarte, Iker Arandia, and Eneko Ontsalo representing the Boskatu team. Leire Akizu served as the topic setter.

The session was very evenly matched, with excellent bertsos heard throughout each exercise. It was difficult for the audience to predict the winning team. Ultimately, the Goierri team prevailed with a score of 16-14.

As a result, the Goierri team will participate in the semi-final to be held on May 16 in Tolosa. Their opponent will be either the Hernani or Txingudi-A team, which will be decided in the quarter-final qualifier taking place this Friday in Hernani. The championship final will be held in Aia on May 30.
