The Beasain City Council and the social initiative cooperative Dar-Dar have launched an inclusive theater workshop project to foster relationships among citizens and address unwanted loneliness and mental health issues.

The initiative is aimed at people of different ages, abilities, experiences, and backgrounds, with sessions held at the Urbieta Building in Beasain every Friday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Participation is free, and the registration period is open until October 28.
This new project uses theater and artistic creation as its main tools to strengthen communication, creativity, self-confidence, empathy, and teamwork among individuals. Inclusion is realized through shared creation and respect for diverse forms of expression.
The workshop is open to all citizens without conditions, requiring no specific age range, prior experience, or access criteria. Furthermore, individuals needing personal support or specific accessibility resources can inform the organizers to explore participation options.
This pilot experience is part of a broader prevention project developed by the Beasain City Council and the Dar-Dar cooperative. Its main feature is to promote dialogue and community ties among diverse individuals, offering a safe space for them to connect and feel part of a group.
The sessions will be led by Maider Bartolome Gurrutxaga, who holds a higher diploma in Dramatic Arts and has extensive experience as an actress, group facilitator, and theater teacher with Dar-Dar Produkzioak.
Initially, the workshops will run every Friday until the end of the year. However, if the group's development is positive and participants express interest in continuing, the initiative has a high chance of extending into the following year. Additionally, if demand is very high, the possibility of forming a second group would be considered.
