Dozens of people showed their support for rare diseases and disability at a solidarity event held Saturday in Beasain, joining Fernando Magaldi's challenge.

Beasain's main square hosted a day marked by solidarity, sports, and social commitment last Saturday. The initiative, aimed at raising visibility for rare diseases and people with disabilities through sport, gathered numerous participants and enjoyed an extraordinary atmosphere throughout the morning.
The Beasain event followed a first day held on Friday in Lazkao, which also featured a solidarity activity under the slogan «Korrika ezin dutenengatik» (for those who cannot run). Both towns thus joined an initiative that continues to travel through different locations with an important message of awareness and support.
Good weather accompanied the entire Saturday, contributing to a large turnout in the square. Music, a festive atmosphere, and the involvement of attendees turned the event into a true solidarity celebration. The leisure group Bakuntza played a prominent role, continuously cheering on participants and bringing energy and enthusiasm.
Additionally, solidarity t-shirts were sold during the event to raise funds and support the challenge, an initiative that was very well received by attendees.
Fernando Magaldi is the main driving force behind this solidarity challenge. By running long distances, he accumulates kilometers to raise awareness for rare diseases and people with disabilities. In Goierri, the Bakuntza leisure group has actively joined this cause, reinforcing the project's participatory and community character.
The current solidarity adventure will conclude on July 5th in Quintana de Toranzo (Cantabria), marking the end of this awareness journey.
However, Magaldi is already looking ahead to his next major challenge: running 660 kilometers non-stop in support of a family in Aramendia (Navarra) with two children affected by rare diseases. For six days and six nights, he will run uninterruptedly from the Obradoiro square in Santiago de Compostela to Estella-Lizarra. The departure is scheduled for September 13th and the arrival for the 20th of the same month, in a new demonstration of effort, solidarity, and commitment to those who live with these realities daily.
