Beasain will host its inaugural Flower and Plant Fair this coming Saturday, May 2, in Erauskin Square, an event designed to blend direct sales, educational outreach, and family activities.

This new initiative, organized by the Beasain City Council in collaboration with the Dekolore association, will take place from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The event is part of the municipal strategy to boost local commerce and proximity markets, with an aim for continuity.
The fair will gather producers and artisans from the sector hailing from various parts of Euskadi and Navarra, offering a wide range of products for direct sale. Attendees will find everything from fruit trees, roses, shrubs, and indoor or seasonal plants, to cacti, aromatic plants, seeds, herbs, natural cosmetics, and craft pieces made with pressed flowers, making it a diverse and unique offering for a single market space.

"The fair strengthens the local market model and helps give visibility to producers, in line with the municipal commitment to boost the local economy."

One of the event's cornerstones will be its educational aspect, aiming to bring citizens closer to knowledge about the plant world, its care, and its importance in daily life. Additionally, the initiative seeks to foster a direct relationship between producers and consumers, facilitating access to quality products and strengthening local consumption.
The program will also include activities for children, with two educational workshops: one for making bookmarks with pressed flowers and another for transplanting plants, where participants can take home a specimen to care for. These proposals reinforce the family-friendly and pedagogical nature of the fair, conceived as a space for learning and coexistence.
