The Basque language services of Urretxu and Zumarraga have presented a comprehensive spring cultural program, within the Aroz Aro initiative, focusing on the Auzomira cycle, inspired by Gorka Erostarbe's poetry book Auzokinak.

The Auzomira cycle, organized by the Kale Gorrian group, is scheduled for the second weekend of June. This cycle emphasizes the importance of neighborhood and community, following the spirit of Erostarbe's book. The presentation took place at the Zelai Arizti cultural center, with municipal representatives and members of the Kale Gorrian group in attendance.

"The book Auzokinak is an aesthetic look at the neighborhood. The neighborhood is a way of inhabiting a place, and the book explores the importance of the scale of community life and human relationships. We wanted to do something to celebrate the book together, and this is the result."

On Friday, June 12, two medium-length films promoted by the Navarrese production company Hiruki Filmak will be screened: Cambium (44 minutes) by Maddi Barber and Marina Lameiro, and Ziarraize (30 minutes), created in collaboration with the inhabitants of Aurizberri. Both films delve into the relationship between citizens and the territory, and their creators will be present for a discussion with the audience.
On Saturday, June 13, the Pamplona jazz brass band Broken Brothers Brass Band will perform in various streets of the town, including Eitza, Trintxera, Piedad street, outside the Urzubi bar, and Areizaga-Kalebarren. The performance will start at 12:00 PM and conclude with a small concert in Areizaga-Kalebarren. In case of rain, it will be moved to the arcades of the Zumarraga town hall.
To conclude the cycle, on Sunday, June 14, a musical recital of the book Auzokinak will be held in Areizaga-Kalebarren square at 12:30 PM. Several individuals will recite texts from the book, and others will accompany the recital with music. If it rains, this event will also take place under the arcades of the town hall.
Among other events, a cooking competition will be organized on May 29 in the marquee of Gernikako Arbola square, for ESO3 and ESO4 students, led by chef Mikel Garaizabal. Additionally, Goierri literary groups will work on Katixa Agirre's book Barne zerbitzuak in Segura on May 30, and the mintzalagunak will hold their end-of-course meeting on May 28 at Gure Txoko bar. On June 5, the play Kolapsoa will be performed at the Zelai Arizti hall.
Municipal representatives also discussed the strategic Aroa plan, aimed at promoting the Basque language until 2035. This plan seeks to increase the use of Basque, empower Basque speakers, and strengthen a fair and inclusive linguistic coexistence. The participatory process is underway, with the second session scheduled for May 20 in the main hall of the Zelai Arizti cultural center.
