The Beasain School of Empowerment for Women will soon launch its new autumn-winter edition. The registration period to participate in the courses will open on October 1st, and the activities will extend until February. The Beasain City Council has prepared various courses, safe meeting spaces, and advisory services with the aim of fostering social transformation and women's empowerment.
This year, the autumn and winter edition will run from October to February. The council's main objective is to offer a safe, accessible, and open meeting space for women to work towards equality, analyze reality from a feminist perspective, and strengthen sorority and active participation among women.
The council has emphasized that empowerment is a personal and collective process for transforming society. Through it, the Empowerment School aims primarily to be a space for learning and connection, acquiring skills, and serving as a tool for social change.
The autumn-winter program includes a variety of practical courses and workshops, such as "Polit Zahartzea: Active and Healthy Self-Care", "WikiEmakumeok", "Feminist Reading School", "Biodanza", "Understanding the 'I' of LGTBIQ: What is Intersexuality?", "Basic Bicycle Mechanics", "Intersectionality and Gender Transphobia", "Home Electricity and Tool Usage", "Orientation Test in Sagastigutia", "Workshop on Migration Grief", "Xylography Workshop", and "Masters of Our Bodies".
Additionally, the Beasain City Council offers free complementary services, including Legal Advice, a Sexual Information and Counseling Point, and "Parekatu" (homologation of foreign degrees).
