The Sare movement analyzed the situation of Basque prisoners, exiles, and deportees yesterday, during their last Friday of April gathering in Azkoitia square, announcing progress in the repatriation process and future calls to action.

The conveners highlighted that April, a month "full of ups and downs," has concluded. They stated, "one more month, we want to show that it is time to end the consequences of the conflict that has caused so much suffering for so many years and to open the doors to resolution, peace, and coexistence".
Sare has emphasized that the repatriation process is "advancing," and that this is "evident" when looking at the figures. "We have managed to surpass the threshold of one hundred EPPK prisoners, and we hope to continue making progress in the coming days and weeks," they explained. However, they added that only 60 of the 97 prisoners are currently walking free, and 37 still remain in closed regimes, despite meeting the conditions to serve the final years of their sentences at home.

"Once again, a legal practice based more on the logic of revenge than on legal argumentation has become evident."

The denial of the application of article 100.2, which has become "newsworthy" in recent days, has been received by Sare with "concern and caution". The movement has denounced that "we will continue in the construction of a solution, peace, and coexistence, despite the judicial, political, and media lobby spheres that exert pressure and carry out policies of revenge".
Regarding exile, Sare has indicated that there is one less exile, "unfortunately," as an exile from Olazti passed away last week in Mexico, after spending 45 years away from home. They have extended their warmest support and embrace to his family and friends.
To complete the picture of the current situation, Sare has analyzed the figures and indicated that, seeing the direction of the path home, they have made several reflections in recent months. To share these and look towards the future, they will hold 27 assemblies throughout Euskal Herria in the next two months. The movement has asked to be attentive to the regional calls.
Furthermore, Sare has announced an important appearance that will take place on June 6, at 11:30 AM, in Monterron Park in Arrasate (Gipuzkoa). "We anticipate that it will be the most important appearance we have made in a long time, and as always, we want to share this important appearance with all of you. We are moving forward with the future as our goal, let us continue working in the logic of solution, peace, and coexistence," the movement declared.
